Lieblings-CDs: At the moment all I’m listening to ‘808s and Heartbreak’ by ‘Kanye’, ‘Luxury Liner’ by ‘Emmylou Harris’ and the new Little Joy album.

Lieblingsband: Anyone as long as it’s not that terrible Keane lot! Probably ‘Satchel’ if I had to choose one.

Lieblingsfilm: That’s REALLY difficult. I’d like to say something arty and cool but if I’m honest it’s probably something like ‘Back To The Future 2′. I am a boy after all!

Things, you’re most looking forward in 2009: A US Keane tour (please!) and recording side projects and Mets stuff. Ooh, and the O2 shows.

Wie Jesse zu Keane kam, erklärt Tim in einem Interview zum Release von “Perfect Symmetry” im Jahr 2008.

„… He was working as part of our touring crew on a couple of tours, being a production assistant, and we became friends. We’d been debating the issue of whether to get a bassist for about nine years, and he just seemed like a person who’d fit in really well. Originally he was meant to just come and rehearse the new songs with us before recording, then he ended up playing on the record and coming on tour with us. He’s become a really good friend and a great person to have on stage with us….”

Auf die Frage, ob sie sich Jesse als vollwertiges Band-Mitglied vorstellen können, sagte er.

„I don’t think any of us want to put too much pressure on the situation, because we’ve had such a good time so far. […] He really feels like a part of the band and someone that we love hanging out with. I don’t know what the answer is – I don’t know if he’d want to! If he lasts a couple of years without us driving each other mad, then we’ll see how it goes!” (more)

Im November 2008 konnten wir zudem selbst die Chance nutzen, nach dem Kölner Konzert kurz mit Jesse zu reden. Er bestätigte den oben genannten Stand der Dinge und fügte hinzu, dass er sich aber sehr geehrt und geschmeichelt fühlt, die Band begleiten zu können.

Neben seiner Band (Jesse Quin and the Mets) und seinen Aktivitäten für und mit Keane, ist er zusätzlich mit seiner zukünftigen Frau als „The Wedding Guests“ (klick) bekannt und war der Drummer bei 5 Monkey 12. Wenn er dann noch etwas Zeit übrig hat, widmet er sich so manchem Gastauftritt bei Noah and the Whale, Laura Marling und Mumford & Sons oder widmet sich seinen Gitarren und der Fotografie.
